It has goals and targets that Council must strive to meet. IWBC has written a <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/file\/d\/1wT435IjMjDnvX4rt3-Mmd5TUzR7Eh2qj\/edit?usp=docslist_api&amp;filetype=msword\">submission to the CSP<\/a> and has made suggestions for targets for building bicycle infrastructure. Previous targets were of the motherhood variety, like \u201care people satisfied\u201d with progress. We have tried to make it more definite, such as \u201ckm of bike path constructed\u201d. <br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Make your own submission on the latest CSP on yoursay.innerwest.nsw.gov.au under \u201cOur Inner West 2036\u201d. Strategic Direction 2 is the most relevant. Outcome 2.6 is where targets can be suggested. <br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>IWBC has suggested :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cKM of bicycle network completed,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>improvement in perception of cycling safety,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>increase in bike trips,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>increase in mode share of cycling trips to schools,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Number of bike parking racks installed.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Feel free to add your own targets, and let us know, its not that easy to come up with effective ones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Note  added December 2023: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The latest CSP has an important policy in it that says Council will prioritise walking and cycling over private cars. See section 2.6.2 .
