Recently it has been renamed the South West Active Transport Link, which does sound a little better!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>SWATL will provide a bike route along <a href=\"http:\/\/I forgot about this update from late last year - https:\/\/www.sydneymetro.info\/sites\/default\/files\/2024-11\/24146-COO-CSW%20SWM%20Pedestrian-Cycling%20Link%20Fact%20Sheet.pdf\">the railway corridor <\/a>from Campsie to Bankstown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Preliminary work to identify the exact route is scheduled in 2025, with construction in 2026 after the Metro is opened.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bicycle NSW and our IWBC coordinator John McNeil have been on a ride along the likely route and arent impressed so far with the parts going through town centres, like Campsie. Also a few big intersections have to be negotiated.
